From August 3rd to August 16th, 2026, Ikebukuro PARCO is launching its brand-new event, “PARCO POP CULTURE PARK.” Imagine the entire Ikebukuro PARCO building as a giant “park” where fans of manga, anime, games, and characters can freely explore, discover new works, cultures, and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Approximately 30 pop culture-related shops within Ikebukuro PARCO will host unique events. Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to the scene, there’s something exciting for everyone. Popular stores like EVANGELION STORE TOKYO-01, JUMP SHOP, CAPCOM STORE IKEBUKURO, and Chiikawa Land will offer special promotions, limited-edition merchandise, and unique experiences. For instance, JUMP SHOP will hold a “Hero Fair 2026,” CAPCOM STORE IKEBUKURO will have a grand lottery for Capcom goods, and Chiikawa Land will offer novelty gifts and release the third wave of Chiikawa movie merchandise. On August 8th (Saturday), beloved characters will gather at Ikebukuro PARCO for “MEET THE ICONS!” This special collaboration will feature mascots from various pop culture shops and characters making exclusive appearances for this event. Get ready to meet “Tama” from “Kyoiku Bangumi,” “Yurushito” from EVANGELION STORE TOKYO-01, and “Vault Boy” from “Fallout,” among others! Groove to Curated BGM and Explore Web Content!
Starting August 1st (Saturday), the entire Ikebukuro PARCO building will be filled with a special BGM curated by artists PUNPEE and Hiroshi “Domannaka” Chuyoshi of the “Itabashi Kyodai” duo, themed around pop culture. The playlist will be revealed later on the official Ikebukuro PARCO website.
Additionally, actor Amane Okayama, known for his love of manga and anime, will be featured in “WALK IN PARCO,” an exclusive web content produced by Ikebukuro PARCO. He also stars in the drama “Sayonara Noir,” set in Ikebukuro, which began airing on July 7th (Tuesday).

Explore the City with “Ikebukuro Manga Anime Weeks 2026”!
Coinciding with “PARCO POP CULTURE PARK,” the first-ever “Ikebukuro Manga Anime Weeks 2026” urban manga and anime festival will be held throughout Ikebukuro! This city-wide event, with the participation of Toshima Ward, will take place at 16 manga and anime-related facilities, including Animate Ikebukuro Main Store, Sunshine City, and Hareza Ikebukuro. Collect a pamphlet featuring manga and anime content available at each venue during the period and participate in a stamp rally to receive original novelty items! This summer, Ikebukuro is set to be buzzing with manga and anime excitement!
